Waterproofing Systems
Introduction:
Different methods and materials are used for sealing
and waterproofing concrete structures like pipes, pools, reservoirs and
etc. These methods can be divided in to main groups as below:
-
Surface coatings
-
Penetrative coatings
a) Surface Coatings:
These kinds of coatings include different types like:
-
Modified cement mortar reinforced with water based
emulsion resins
-
Thermoplastic linings like PVC, PE, PP and rubber
-
Thermo set coating like epoxy resin polyurethane,
etc.
b) Penetrative Coating:
-
Penetron For further information refer to
our general catalogue.
Difference:
1)
Surface coating create a water proof layer on
the surface of concrete which prevent water leakage, meanwhile protects
the surface of the concrete.
2)
Penetrative coatings change the concrete
structure so that the matrix of the concrete becomes waterproof. We
produce both kind of surface and penetrative coatings as below:
a)Surface Coatings:
-
Modified cement mortar reinforced with water based
emulsion resin
(MRI
77 + CHEMEX -AD6)
-
Modified bitumen emulsion BEM -B 4
-
Epoxy resin & polyurethane
b) Penetrative Coating:
Penetron
